The Ways of Treasures
The VII edition of the Ways of Treasures becomes a real Festival of Places and Ideas: 4 weekends to discover Palermo, candidate city for European Capital of Culture 2019, with more than 50 sites, real treasures of Art, Science, Nature and Mystery, with a ticket of 1 or 2 euros each and 100 free events with special guests.
The Festival revolves around five themes: Heresy, Interculturality, Women, the Underground City and the Leopard.
From October 11 to November 3, every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, from 10 am to 6 pm, 50 among the most fascinating sights in Palermo will be open with a special entrance fee and guided tours by the Association of Friends of Sicilian Museums: sights range from the most famous like the Royal Palace, the Botanical Garden, the Steri, the Catacombs of the Capuchins, to a fascinating itinerary through the Crypts of ancient churches, curated by the Palermo diocese, and hidden treasures like the Catacombs of Porta D'Ossuna, the Legal Circle, the Municipal Historical Archives and the Former Asylum.
All throughout the event, walking tours with academics and personalities, talks, readings and performances linked to the Festival themes will be taking place at several sites.
