Convictions are more dangerous enemies of truth than lies
featuring Sandra Ceccarelli e Marco Mazzoni
curated by Antonio Leone and Francesco Pantaleone
Saturday June 15, 2013 7.00 pm / Spazio Due Navate – Cantieri Culturali alla Zisa / Via Paolo Gili 4 - Palermo
The project dedicated to Palermo Pride 2013 by the two American artists is a reflection about Friedich Nietzche's famous aforism (Convictions are more enemies to truth than lies), to star a constructive criticism about social dogmas and abuses of rights entailed by traditions, whose conventions are often considered as truths.
The performance will be sided by a site-specific installation: Convictions are more dangerous enemies of truth than lies (variable sizes, wood, neon lights, iron).
Candidate is under the patronage and sponsored by the US Embassy in Italy. With the technical sponsorship of The HotelSphere, this performance is part of the events calendar of the National Pride which in 2013 is hosted in Palermo.
Following the performance, the exhibition
All my colours turn to clouds
